The Decades Prints of Joshua Rosewarne
How fortunate we are to have such a talented designer living in Bury St Edmunds.
The third of the Decades prints has been created in the style of the 1940s. This print has been designed in the style of posters from the war.
We felt that the Railway Station must have been a very symbolic place during this time, with trains taking soldiers away to war, and bringing less back.
We also wanted to include the aeroplanes. During the war, being East Anglia, there were many local aerodromes operating from here, and usually there would have been a lot of Americans about too. So we have the English leaving for war, and the Americans arriving.
It has also been very important throughout this project that they represented Bury St Edmunds. You can take one look at it, and just know its home. Our home.
Being a Limited Edition, only 50 of these will be produced in A2 format and all personally signed and numbered by the artist Joshua Rosewarne.
The watermark at the bottom left of these images will be removed from the production of these prints.
