The Decades Prints of Joshua Rosewarne

How fortunate we are to have such a talented designer living in Bury St Edmunds.

The second of the Decades prints has been created in the style of the 1930s. It shows the first night when the Odeon opened its doors to the public for the first time.

The Cinema, in the classic style which many people remember from their childhood, seen here in pristine condition and proudly displaying the two films which were shown on opening night.

The films are “Beloved Enemy” (1936) and “Star For A Night” (1936) both of which are very typical of their era.

The print shows also how the well heeled people of the town may have looked as they dressed in their finest clothes to venture to the Cinema.

Being a Limited Edition, only 50 of these will be produced in A2 format and all personally signed and numbered by the artist Joshua Rosewarne.

The watermark at the bottom left of these images will be removed from the production of these prints.
