Hi, I’m Carol Street and I’m a photographer living just outside Bury St. Edmunds with my husband and our three cats. Along with a love of all things photographic I have a weakness for chocolate and cake and I’ll do almost anything for a good cappuccino, preferably with a caramel shot.
I grew up messing around with a variety of point and shoot cameras however I’ve been taking pictures seriously since 2011. Photography has become a very important part of my life, an integral part of my space. It has made me learn to look, to see what’s around me and has inspired me with the desire to create elegant and evocative images, pictures with soul.
My photographic interests are wide-ranging, from cityscapes and modern architecture through to the more candid street and urban photography as well as portraiture and event work. I’ve also recently developed a love for wedding photography as I really enjoy telling a story and capturing the fun and essence of that special day, those candid moments and emotions that you will want to remember for ever.
I have been privileged to photograph for Bury in Bloom, an independent local charity run by the Bury St. Edmunds Society whose aim is to promote a green and beautiful Bury St. Edmunds. Being part of such a dedicated and amazing group of people, many of who are volunteers from all walks of life, has been a moving and humbling experience and I am thoroughly enjoying being involved. I’ve also visited beautiful places in Bury I didn’t know existed, the perfect excuse to take even more photographs of our lovely town.
Some of my work can be found on my website carolstreetphotography.com and I hope you enjoy looking at my images. My portfolio is ever-growing and if you would like to be part of it or work with me on a bespoke project please get in touch to discuss your ideas and plans; I’d love to hear from you.
