The Art Of Conversation: Beyond Disinformation

‘Beyond Disinformation’ is the theme of our February meet up. How can we navigate the mainstream and social media to get at the truth, rather than being misled?

The Art of Conversation is intended as a friendly, sociable space to gently explore questions that matter to us and to help us see and respect different points of view, at a time when it would be too easy for society to become divided.

Usually we meet in the upstairs community room of the Oakes Barn pub, St Andrews’ Street South. This month we’ll be downstairs in the bar. We meet at 12 noon for a 12.15 start. The conversation last for about an hour.

The Art of Conversation is a project of Bury St Edmunds Unitarian congregation; yet, it is not about pushing a religious view. We want to create a space for people in the community to share and talk about worthwhile matters. There will be no pressure to get involved in other ways. We are not a strange new group! We have over three hundred years history in the town and we operate without dogma of any kind. If you would like to attend this Art of Conversation session, or in future, please can you email the organiser, Matt, at revmatt1774@outlook.com or call him on (01728) 621409.
