Enjoy Your Surroundings Whilst Getting Healthier

Hello, I hope the first month of 2019 has been good to you and you are sticking to your New Year goals.

As I am writing this it’s a lovely crisp morning in Bury St Edmunds and I have seen on the WLBSE Facebook page a post by Terry Chittock about the walks Abbeycroft Leisure have around the area, so I have had a wander around Bury and encourage you to do this as-well.

Not only will you get your steps in, enjoy the fresh air, get healthier and fitter but also enjoy the changing seasons and scenery of our beautiful town.

In delving deeper I found that St Edmundsbury has one of the five largest increases in the country of adults walking at least once a week, so well done!

There are 5 routes around the town:

Moreton Hall

Southgate

Westgate

Northgate

St Olaves

The routes are signposted and have details of where to go and what roads etc. you will pass.

Each route is 5km in total.

All routes are designed for maximum accessibility and can be used by everyone from single walkers to groups.

So I encourage you to go out and have a go at all 5 routes whilst enjoying the beautiful changing scenery.
