What is Your Motivation?

First of all Happy New Year.  I hope you all have had a great Christmas.

Now is the time of year when most people get back into a routine and think “I must get a bit healthier this year”.

Well this year I want you to be able to stick to that thought and become the person who you would like to be.

How can I do this?

First of all you need to find your motivation and then break it into smaller bite sized chunks that you can achieve and keep the motivation.

Do it for YOU!

In the form I have here for you to print off and fill in, goes through your past, your goals and where you want to be in a few months’ time.  The most important thing is to start this and fill the form in for YOU and nobody else.

What is Your Motivation?

You will have times of struggle and forget why you are doing this, how you feel when you’re consistent and how much you have changed.

This is a natural feeling and one that will happen throughout your journey of change in not just body but mind.

I would like you to think and write down honestly your feelings and thoughts on the following:

  • What is your motivation to start / keep going? (Health, body change, exercise goal. Etc.)

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  • How would this make you feel inside and out to see/feel those changes?
  •

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  • What potential barriers would stop you from being consistent?

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  • What can you put in place to keep consistent? Do you need help in this? How?

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  • If you have tried before and given up how did this make you feel?

    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………

    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Remember why you are filling this form in. What you want to achieve. A feeling of guilt, embarrassment, failure and beating yourself up when you have a blip isn’t helping you. Knowing how to and that you can, carry on again with your goal is the important thing and to enjoy life with all the knowledge you gain.

What are your Goals?

Goals with weight, health, exercise, confidence, etc.

Goals inside and outside your body

Your own goals

Are they S.M.A.R.T ?

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Realistic
  • Time bound
  1. What is your goal up to Easter?

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  • What is your 6 month goal?

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

  • What is your long term, 1 year goal? What would you want to achieve if you’re sat here next January?

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

These can be achieved and can be adapted.

Every goal is moveable.

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
