(The Art of Conversation: Theme for Session 3)
Are you concerned that maybe we struggle to speak to one another face-to-face these days? The “Art of Conversation” is a new monthly Sunday gathering – not self-help, not spiritual, not religious, but not exclusively secular either – intended as space to gently explore questions that matter to us all and help us see different points of view. The Art of Conversation is sponsored by Bury St Edmunds Unitarian Congregation – a non- dogmatic free-thinking fellowship with over three hundred years of continuous history in our town.
Avoiding the divisive headlines, we will nevertheless try to explore some deep issues in a relaxed and convivial way. The quality of conversation and listening is perhaps more important than any conclusions we might reach.
Our third meet up will be this Sunday at 12 noon for a 12.15pm start running until about 1.20pm, in the upstairs community room at the Oakes Barn pub, St Andrews Street South, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3PH.
Christmas is a time when we can feel pressure to spend more than we should and indulge more than we should. How happy are we about that? What changes are you making to celebrate more simply? How are others likely to react?
The group is free to attend. However, if interested you are kindly requested to email asap Rev Matt at firstname.lastname@example.org .
