As I sit here writing the article for March it’s snowing. The shoots of the new flowers are fully covered with cold, crisp white fluffy snow. It doesn’t encourage you to venture out and work on that summer body even though its only 20 weeks until the summer season starts.
Seeing the beauty of our town and parks, the animals foraging for food and also the great events that are held outside. These events are mainly run by volunteers to help you have fun, get fitter, make friends and reach your goals in life. Please support them and please do not cancel last minute or just not turn up. Think of the time and effort they have sacrificed in putting that event on for you.
It is also a great time to look at what’s available for you inside such as exercise classes, in home 1-2-1 personal training, fitness dvd’s as well as the events at places such as Curvemotion and the various Gyms that are available to us in Bury.
Go and look at these on their various websites and social media sites. There are more things to do than you probably think.
You have no excuse to be bored and unhealthy. Have a look around, support the local events and have some fun. I hope to see you at one of these. And if you see me say hello J
One event coming up for all the family is the Chadacre Challenge. It is a Suffolk Trail Running Festival on 16th June at Shimpling Park Farm. Off road routes that weave amongst the beautiful organic farm land thriving with wildlife (sounds wonderful). They have 3k which is family friendly, 10k runs plus 12 and 24 hour endurance events which can be entered as pairs or teams in which they are working with St. Nicholas hospice to encourage teams to enter. There will be camping available, live music, food, bar, face painting and medals! If you would like to enter or more information please go to www.suffolktrailfestival.co.uk
Even more motivation to find out all the indoor and outdoor activities ready for the summer
Enjoy and have Fun
