We Love Bury St Edmunds!

As a rule of thumb when looking into street names, usually the older Streets have the word Way in them.

Lanes point to old tracks leading to the town.

The word gate in a street name does not mean there was a gate into town but just an opening in the town wall.

Some names such as row usually refer to the business there.

Avenue is just to make a street sound more important.
