We Love Bury St Edmunds!

The Cattle Market | Bury St Edmunds | 1960

The Cattle Market in Bury St Edmunds I first came to Bury about 1960, my granddad used to visit the market every Wednesday buying lots of chickens, rabbits and other livestock.

He would take them back to his smallholding and kill and dress them to sell to restaurants in London. While he had a light lunch!!! in the Market Tavern I explored the town centre. I seemed to remember a lovely haberdashery shop in the vicinity of the old Debenhams, can any one remember this shop or was I dreaming?
